Dr Shalini Gupta, Vice-Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, strongly believes that the young generation is dedicated and keen to adopt new practices of learning.

She holds a PhD in Women’s Entrepreneurship from Kurukshetra University.

Dr Gupta began her association with Desh Bhagat University in 2007, serving as Director-General until 2012.  In 2013, she was appointed as Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab and in 2014 she was named Vice-Chancellor.

Dr Gupta was also Vice-Chancellor of Mandsaur University, Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh.

She is involved in numerous social causes such as propagating a ban on child labour by working for poverty-driven school dropouts.

She also campaigns against female foeticide by organizing seminars and rallies in rural areas, and she is a pioneer for the environmental cause ‘Pollution Free Planet Green’, through which she has motivated her students to plant trees and save the flora and fauna of the area.
