Dr MVV Prasada Rao, Director, CBSE, has a total of 35 years of rich experience, 12 of which are in Teaching and 24 years in Educational Administration.

Dr Rao has an MA, MPhil, BL, BEd and a PhD.

He was also Joint Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education from 2006 to 2013 and also served as Assistant Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (under the Ministry of HRD, Govt of India)

Dr Rao has also held various leadership positions in different capacities including Joint Secretary and Regional Officer of Chennai Region, Allahabad Region, Patna Region, Bhubaneswar Region, Regional Director of Delhi Region and Director of UGC (NET) Examination.

Dr Rao also served as District Programme Co-ordinator, NSS, East Godavari and also worked as an NSS Programme Officer for more than nine years

He was awarded by the District Collector, East Godavari for doing the ‘Best Services in NSS’.
