ASMA Education Leadership Conclave Concludes on 3 Months of Engaging Discussions

ASMA Education Leadership Conclave 2020 concluded on 11th December 2020, bringing a close to a 3-month long virtual event series focussed on leadership and innovation in the education sector.

The event covered a range of topics pertaining to the education industry including the government’s NEP 2020, how technology can transform Indian education and the way forward in a post-pandemic world. The event saw participation from eminent speakers across the pre-school, school and higher education sectors.

The event saw over 10,000 registrations with participation from over 250 schools and pre-schools, over 150 higher education institution and more than 10 industry speakers in 30+ sessions.

The inaugural event which was held on 24th September 2020 witnessed three panel discussions covering the higher education, school and pre-school sectors and featured special guests including Dr Biswajit Shah, Director, CBSE and Dr Neetu Bhagat, Deputy Director, AICTE.

The panels deliberated on topics such as ‘Virtual Experience Synchronization: Innovative Pedagogy for a Fast Forward Future’ (Higher Education), ‘Reopening of Schools, Redefining SOPs: A Step-by-Step Guide for Implementation of the Open School Programme’ (School Education) and ‘How Professionals Can Support Young Children and Families in Managing Stress’ (Pre-schools).

The event’s Schools Leadership Conclave which was held on 30th October 2020, shed light on the relevant issues pertaining to IB and Boarding schools, especially in the face of the pandemic.

The Higher and Tech Leadership Summit on 6th November 2020, featured discussions by education leaders from Medical institutions, Engineering institutions and B-Schools and how they have been able to infuse technology into various parts of the education process.

The highlight of the Education Leadership Conclave was India’s Top 20 Women Leaders in Education 2020, which was held on 27th November 2020 under the theme ‘The Trailblazing Women Leaders in Indian Education’.

The innovative virtual event and award ceremony was aimed at celebrating the success stories, contributions and achievements of women leaders in the field of education and delved into issues pertaining to women’s empowerment and their participation in nation-building through education.

The was India’s Top 20 Women Leaders in Education 2020 event was also graced by Guest of Honour, Anju Sharma, IAS, Principal Secretary, Higher & Technical Education, Government of Gujarat and Special Guest, Dr Neetu Bhagat, Deputy Director, AICTE.

The Valedictory session of the Education Leadership Conclave 2020 took place on 11th December 2020 with an exciting and inspiring address by Chief Guest, Sri Temjen Imna Along, Hon’ble Minister of Higher & Technical Education & Tribal Affairs, Government of Nagaland.

The three panel discussions of the valedictory session examined the future outlook for the education industry in the post-pandemic world and how technology and innovation can be harnessed to take the education industry into the 21st century.
