The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has taken the decision to postpone the ICSE examinations of standard 10th and 12th for the year 2021. This decision comes after the Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) cancelled the 10th board examinations and postponed the 12th exams in view of the worsening Covid-19 situation.

CISCE postponed the ongoing exams of ICSE 10th and 12th standard students and it also said that the revised schedule will be released in the first week of June. In its official statement, CISCE stated, “The Covid situation will be closely monitored and the deferment of the ICSE and ISC exams will be reviewed and a final decision on the conduct of the board exams will be taken in the first week of June.”

With the postponement of the ongoing ISC exams, the 10th standard students will get an option to give offline exams along with the 12th students. For those candidates who could not appear for the ICSE examinations, the council has decided to evaluate them under fair and unbiased criterion to generate their results.

The students need to secure a minimum of 33 per cent marks to pass the ICSE examinations. A minimum of 40 per cent marks will be needed overall, and in every subject, to pass the ISC examinations.
